Spin
"Unwind in the world of Dance"

About Us
Megan Gepford educated in dance since the age of 5 and has been instructing dance for 30 years. Megan is currently working with Cheney School District Home Link and Substitute instructor for Julie's Competitive Edge Dance Academy. She is also adding to that venue instructing for her own studio.
Prior to this Megan's training came from Spokane Studio, Heritage Family Theater, Spokane Ballet, Ballet Arts and Spokane Falls Community College. She danced for Spokane Studio's dance company as well as Heritage Family Theater. Gepford taught at her own private studio's as well as for Tucson Parks & Recreation, Pasadena Elementary School, Dance Emporium, Julie's Competitive Edge Dance Academy & Cheney School District Home Link.
Spin was established in 1994 with the previous name of Megan Gepford's School of Classical Ballet in an in-home studio and in 1999 renamed "Spin" Unwind in the world of Dance" and merged to a store front in Spokane on 5th Ave & Freya.
In 2005, we decided to focus more attention to our family & to teach through other facilities. So from 2005 to 2013 she has been teaching ballet and jazz for Julie's Competitive Edge Dance Academy and Cheney School District Home Link. Which have been an awesome experience and fun working with the director's as well as the wonderful kid's and parents.

Megan also is continuing her education for classical ballet and other forms of dance and/or movement that are complimentary of ballet. Although her teacher training courses are primarily ballet, she has also trained in Anatomy, Pilates, Jazz, Modern, and Feldenkrais.
Formal teacher training from:
-
Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle,WA,
-
Nutmeg Ballet in Torrington,CT
-
Centrum in Port Townsend, WA
Gepford is still available for other programs but was looking for a bigger end product for her clients. We had 12-week programs with dances at the end of the program. That is an awesome program to pull off in 12 -weeks but the practice quality wasn't as polished as a performance that had nine months of ballet technique and dance practice tied in with more polished dancers and a story line ballet for the audience. That is what she likes to base her ideal on.
While she is presenting classical ballet to individuals who may not have moved this way previously, their confidence and their physical awareness as well as ability increase. She is also trying to consolidate costs for classes making them more affordable for everybody. No registration, recital or costume fee will be charged. Re-use, recycle, repurpose will be practiced for costuming. And the theory anyone not capable of paying but has desire to dance is never turned down. Hopefully people with excess compensate for those lacking and each is benefiting from each other.
